Hanuman is the Monkey God who is the Son of the Wind and the Breath of the Heart. He is the embodiment of Devotion and Service, the heart of Bhakti yoga. Hanuman’s story is told in the great epic of the Ramayana where he is the devoted servant of Lord Ram. The epic leaps of Hanuman to the Sun, across the ocean and into the Himalayas are some of the most celebrated stories in yoga mythology. These are the heroic leaps of the human heart in service to the greater whole.
