This practice it focused on getting centered and balanced. We explore getting centered through a series of balance poses, on the hands and feet. Often, before going to doing the full expression of a pose, we will do the pose in another plane. For example, we’ll practice a pose laying down, then do the same pose standing. One posture, we do on two feet, and later explore on one hand.
In this clip, in preparation for Bird of Paradise, we move through a flowing series, to properly warm up the hips and inner thighs. As always, there are plenty of modifications, for students who are newer and or more tight.
